About the Artwork:
This soft pastel painting, created in March 2026, initially began as a plein air study in a pub garden, where I noticed a tree just coming into pink bloom, softly glowing in the last light of the day. I felt an immediate pull to capture that fleeting moment.
With delicate layers of pastel, I tried to hold onto the feeling of first warmth, the first blush of colour, and that quiet hopeful breath of early spring.
Beautifully presented in a black wooden frame with low-reflective glass, this piece is ready to hang and enjoy.
